The Stunning Sunset of Bali - Indonesia

Many years, I never ever think of going to Bali. To me its only an island sharing the same climate as our country, eating almost the same food and speaking more or less same language. It might also have same customs as our Malaysians. To my surprise, it is not. First of all its breath-taking sunset make me suffocated, its so beautiful. I ran from beach to beach, place to place, chasing after sunset. I was so crazy about its picturesque scence. I also admire its fantastic formation of its seaside and wave. Its much different from ours. I love their tradition store food like bakso, satay and "nasi champur" the mixed rice especially the volcano lava grown red rice which is one of the best wild rice I ever tasted. Their seafood couldn't compete with Malaysian's, not the cooking but the freshness.

Most important of course its the people. They understand very well tourists are their rice bowl. Each and every visitor is treated and served like a king. They are kind, manner, friendly, unlike those Indonesians in Malaysia. Most places are safe and peaceful which make me comfortable to be there. Bali is just like a small Hindu country, no much sign of other religions. They keep their own history, carry on their own customs, having faith in their own belief, so traditional, so cultural and so artistic. Bali, a fantasy island of Indian Ocean gifted with nature and good people has become paradise to many foreigners.

A little negative comment is their entrance fee, its too many and too much. Fees collected at all places even going up mountain, there is somebody stop your vehicle half way and ask for payment. Do they really need this kind of special fee to maintain the place or is it a way to make their living?

I witnessed this wonderful scene of nature in the evening at Ku-de-ta Beach.

Beautiful panorama with spectacular sunset and stunning view of Indian Ocean.

Kudeta Beach is an ideal place to watch the glorious sunset at Indian Ocean. Have a cup of beer or fruit juice on the beach, relax and admire the golden sunset...

House wives carried on their heads great offerings of food including fruits, flowers and chicken etc. They look elegant and sincere in their beautiful tradition sexy costume.

Indonesian ladies never use their hands to carry weight. Their head "kongfu" can be equivalent to the "Sow Lin Shi" monks and when with weight on head in sexy tradition wearing, they become models catwalk on the streets..

Musical performances by young Bali girls in their traditional costume.

Balinese proceeding for prayer with kids and offerings on head, along a decorated street is one of the attractive scene in the island.

Nusa Dua which means two islands, is an elite resort area located in Badung Regency, at the southern end of Bali Island, 25 minutes drive from Bali's International Airport.

It owns the most complete facilities in Bali and Indonesia like the international 5-stars hotels, luxury accommodations, villas, convention hall, shopping center and all kinds of sports activities and relaxation. Wont you like to enjoy some of your days like this? No pressure, no stress, just relax and relax in the breeze and sea music! Kuta Beach is the most famous tourist destination in Bali for its spectacular white sandy beaches, hilarious nightlife, plenty of restaurants with international cuisines, bars, pubs, hotels from luxury to budget and many many other activities ...surfing, swimming, massage, shopping or eating......

The Bali memorial plague for 202 victims died at the terrorists explosion burst at Sari and Paddy clubs at Legian Street of Kuta in Oct 2002 . Bali people suffered a very hard time for a long period after another bomb happened in year 2005 as no tourists means no income for most of them. After the bomb, many people were fear to step in the island for more than a year.

Kuta Beach was originally a fishmen country side in the past. It was said that Kuta was a trade port as the boats can step into the hinterland of Kuta and the grave of 19th century Denmark merchant Mads Longe who died mysteriously was inside a Buddhist temple (Konco) located beside Tukad Mati (Dead River) 300 years ago. It was believed that Mads Longe was the communication bridge between King of Bali and Dutch at that time and he had his trade station built in the river periphery

BAKSO! The local tradition chicken soup noodle selling at Kuta Beach, is cheap and delicious . Dont miss it !

We enjoyed a traditional Greek cuisine at Pantarei Greek restaurant and the popular Bali Mixed rice which came with local Volcano red brown rice at Made's Warung Food shop at Jln Seminyak. Both offered wonderful food of their own specialties.

Bali is a city of arts with lots of talented artists living around especially at Ubud village, contributing great paintings, drawings, wood carvings, batik hand-printing , puppet making kind of hand-crafts.

We had a great time at this resort house which offered high quality service, remarkable beauty atmosphere, great comfort and most of all the friendliness and smiles of their working crews.

The elegant lotus flower blooms at the front little pond of our resort hotel site.

The artistic inner roofing mainly of wood material are quite common seen in many types of buildings and Bali people also widely make use of kind of palm tree leave as roofing material to expel off the heat from the house. Its so natural that also become lovely home and resting place for birds.

This is our home at Bali, and as usual, in front of the house, there is a God.

The swimming pool in front of our apartment is built nested in a traditional Balinese style.

Romantic restaurant by Jimbaran Beach offers seafood dinner under candle light at the beach facing the ocean, with good service and special cooking but seafood was not fresh and price was over expensive.

Dont forget to try on their non Muslim tradition satay with this beautifully wrapped rice and its fresh coconut.

Good recommendation by our driver.

The common offering which usually consists of rice, flower, incense was made at least twice a day at the door, the road, the store, the vehicle or to where they believe their Gods are. The offerings packed in coconut or bamboo leave are easily obtained in the local market.

Interesting scene : Petrol oil filled in small glass bottle like beverage, sold by home maker in front of their house . The burnt incense was plugged in front of all vehicles to ensure safety on road by all drivers every morning.

Great sight of water rice field and a view of Bali's rural site.

A hill of spices at Spice Plantation including coffee and coco plant. I was presented with a handful of natural small chillies by the native which really burnt out our tongue bud.
