A World Famous Rustic Resort - Nagarkot

Nagarkot is a famous international hill station winded up by thick forest of pine trees, high up on the northern fringe of Kathmandu Valley. The village which was once a military fort and a summer retreat center for royals in the past, lies 32km north east of Nepal's Capital. With an elevation of 2195 meter, it offers a panoramic view of Kathmandu Valley and a spectacular view of the whole Langtang range. It is particularly in fame with the enchanting scene of the sunrise and sunset views.

Nagarkot commands the most extensive and breath taking views of majestic Himalayas Ranges in Kathmandu Valley. Eight out of the 13 Himalayan Ranges in Nepal offer splendid views of their snow-capped peaks from Langtang Range (Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh-himal, Lantang, Jugal, Rowaling, Numbur and Mahalangur -Mt Everest are the eight ranges).

Nagarkot is the most scenic spot in Bhaktapur District of Nepal.

The majestic Himalayas, the lush pine forests, the deep valley and steep hills of Nagarkot produce one of the most enchanting scenery in the world.

Small living quarters amidst at the pine forest scattering along the hill slopes built up an unique and picturesque sight of Nagarkot.

The sight of lush pine forests under the shade of snow-capped mountain ranges was really pleasurable.

Balconies built in to the guest rooms in Himalaya Club Resort is a perfect watch point that offers incredibly splendid views of Himalayas vistas and its surroundings.

A marvelous sight!

A beautiful idyllic scene

Valley was cast covered by blanket of mist in the morning.

We drove through the beautiful fields and pine forests on the way back to Bhaktapur ancient city.

The scenic drive takes about an hour from Nagarkot via tiny villages along meandering mountain roads.
