Halong Bay at Dusk

This is Dragon Pearl, one of the luxurious junk in Halong bay.  We board and cruised Halong Bay together with 12 other guests coming from Australia, France, New Zealand and United States, for two days  The junk  has 10 cabins to accommodate a maximum of 20 guests and there are more than 10 staff in their crews offering a 5-star service to all its guests.

The junk boat ferry the passengers and its guests through a cave into a lagoon.

Kayaking around the secluded lagoon area was most fun and interesting as every corner has outcrops of limestone rock and islets.

Exhausted after 1-2 hours exploration of Halong Bay's hidden beauty.

Its swimming hour and beach volley ball time!

Several of the islands are hollow with enormous caves. Hang Dau Go is the largest cave in Halong Bay and there are also two caves on Bo Hon Island, Hung Sung Sot Cave and Virgin Cave. Virgin Cave has steep path lined with shady trees.

These limestone caverns and odd formation were caused by erosion. A stalagmite formation sparkles in Paradise limestone cave. Some caves have layers of chambers, numerous stalactites and stalagmites and ceiling as high as 30 meter.

The moving light reflected from water outside seems to bring these formation to life.

The junk boat started sailing into a designated sheltered safe bay before the sky turns dark. Today, all its 14 guests had enjoyed the land and sea excursion, where they explored the hidden caves, kayak through the beautiful water sites, swim in the warm water and close contact with Halong's white beaches..

Right now, all movement by this corner of the earth has ceased!

Serene!

Sun began to set.

While stars wave Halong's water, only night is breathing, that was what the old Vietnamese poem said.

On moonlight nights, Stones meditated as men do..... quoted Vietnamese writer Che Lau Vien.

This is the little boat that transfers guests from the mother junk for activities or excursion.

Halong Bay at dusk, gorgeous!

Our room is just on the main deck along the corridor. Lying on the bed, we can watch through the windows, the sky, the stars, the sea and the limestone karsts in "meditation".

As the sun dropped behind the hill, the irregular shaped islets in Halong bay turn into still dark sculpture becoming an art piece.

Happy hours for the crews!

It was dinner time now! These were some of the gourmet seafood dishes served individually to each of us. We had 4 sumptuous meals in the cruise and all of us enjoyed as much as the scenery.
