Sarangkot At Dawn - Pokhara

Sarangkot, located at Gandaki Zone in Kaski District, is a cozy little village but a great tourist attraction in Pokhara. It lies at the side of mountain ridges high above Pokhara Valley with an average altitude of 1600 meters. The ideal location had made it one of the best watch point to have a panorama view of Himalayas and a renowned spot to see sunrise over the mountains.

Himalayan Mountain ranges at dawn.

With layers of thick cloud and gloomy condition like this, we knew that it would be too hard to demand for a glory sunrise this morning.

Morning light was largely blocked out by thick layer of clouds.

Without garish sun-rising status, Himalayan Mountain Ranges are still gorgeous.

Hindrance from the clouds had stopped the morning sun to stimulate the great mountain ranges with its piercing brightness.

Have a reunion photo with our home folks we met at the site.

Though the morning sun failed to brighten up the mountain ranges opposite it, there were still many photographic opportunities at sight.

Opposite the mountain ranges where the sun rises, the sky was beautifully shaded in red.

The sky was shaded in attractive glossy colors but the sun hindered by the clouds failed to offer the mountain ranges a coat of glaring gold this morning.

Though many were quite disappointed with the weather but nobody can deny that Sarangkot village is still a perfect watch point for a panoramic Himalayan Mountain Ranges.

Sun-rising show was over. We did not have a chance to see The Great Himalayas brightened up with golden peaks but we enjoyed a comfortable morning bargaining with the locals for their handmade crafts under a red sky.
